This volume of kritisk etnografi - Swedish Journal of Anthropology is a compilation of two issues. The first issue is themed Exploring Methodologies, and focuses on a range of methodological innovations: comparative work in different field sites, drawing and writing in dialogue between researchers, listening to images during fieldwork, and integrating apps in local nature communities. In the Perspectives section, two pieces are published: first, a substantial reflection upon fieldwork, and, second, a report on the Film Festival held on World Anthropology Day organized in Gothenburg in February 2025. The second issue is a Varia, that is, a non-themed issue. It covers different ethnographic areas, methodologies, theoretical traditions, textual approaches, individual and collective research, while keeping a keen eye on the material, the ethnography. The issue also includes a reflection on the socio-political situation in the US and Sweden through an extensive book review.

kritisk etnografi - Swedish Journal of Anthropology is owned and published by the Swedish Society for Anthropology and Geography (Svenska Sällskapet for Antropologi och Geografi). The journal is peer-reviewed, online, and publishes original research articles, as well as reports from Swedish anthropological community. It is open access: always, everywhere, and for everyone. kritisk etnografi aims to foster responsible scholarship with global scope, local relevance and public engagement.
